The League Goes to Washington

Yesterday, thousands of pro-life Americans gathered in our nation’s capital to rally for the right to life, as the Supreme Court began hearing arguments in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization — and League President and Executive Director Theresa Brennan, Esq. was among them.
“The Court could use the Dobbs case to overturn the wrongful decision of Roe v. Wade legalizing abortion nationwide, sending the issue back to the states,” said Brennan. “As the nation’s first pro-life organization, it was vital for the Right to Life League to be present on the steps of the Supreme Court, alongside so many other pro-life groups and individuals, for this historic moment.”
The Court’s ruling is not expected for many months–perhaps not until June–which makes continued prayer all the more important.
In addition to representing on the steps of the Supreme Court yesterday, the Right to Life League also hosted a public prayer protest in front of Pasadena’s Planned Parenthood, right across the street from our office.
“We know prayer works miracles. We are fighting on the side of truth and justice,” said Brennan.
“We invite everyone to pray for the wisdom of our Supreme Court justices. Pray that hearts and minds will open to the truth: that preborn children are unique, precious human beings, each of whom deserves to exercise the God-given right to life.”
