Right to Life League Launches Pasadena Prayer Effort to Overturn Roe v. Wade

On December 1st, as the Supreme Court hears oral argument in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, representatives of the Right to Life League will be on the steps of the Supreme Court as part of a coordinated national event including other national pro-life organizations such as Live Action, And Then There Were None, Students for Life of America, and Sidewalk Advocates for Life.

“The days of abortion on demand are numbered. Follow the science – it is undeniable that the unborn are human from the moment of conception. The League joins this national effort to overturn Roe v. Wade to protect the right to life,” says League Director of Outreach and Engagement Susan S. Arnall, Esq. She will be attending the D.C. rally with League President/ CEO Theresa Brennan, Esq.

“The Supreme Court should take the opportunity presented by Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization to declare constitutional protection for the unborn across all 50 states. We will stand on the steps of the Supreme Court, representing Californians, pro-life clinics, centers and maternity homes, to end abortion.”
As the nation’s first pro-life organization, the Right to Life League is also leading the effort to end abortion in its home state of California. League staff will conduct a prayer vigil outside Pasadena’s Planned Parenthood on December 1st as part of the nationwide prayer rally.

“If the Court’s decision in Dobbs stops short of affirming our constitutional guarantee of the right to life, it is likely that regulation of abortion will go back to the states,” says Arnall. “Many states have been preparing for such a result by passing laws restricting abortion, like the Texas Heartbeat Act.”
In addition to the December 1st prayer rally, the League is launching a new permanent, peaceful, weekly prayer presence outside of Pasadena Planned Parenthood to protest abortion.

The League’s regular sidewalk prayer against abortion begins on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, the day before the Supreme Court begins to hear arguments in Dobbs. League staff will be outside of Planned Parenthood, located at 1045 N. Lake Ave. in Pasadena, every Tuesday and Friday from 9am-1pm. These are the days the clinic performs surgical abortions.

“California is the most anti-life state in the union. It has been advancing legislation to push abortion while muzzling pro-life speech. So, the League is leading the peaceful activist prayer effort to stand for life on the sidewalks in front of Planned Parenthood.”
“We invite all pro-life advocates to join us in prayer on December 1, and to join us on the sidewalk to take a stand for the right to life,” says Arnall.

The League’s regular sidewalk prayer starts November 30th, and will continue Tuesdays and Fridays, 9am-1pm, outside Planned Parenthood at 1045 N. Lake Avenue, Pasadena.
The Right to Life League’s public prayer to overturn Roe v. Wade takes place on Wednesday, December 1st, 9am-1pm also in front of Planned Parenthood in Pasadena.
