Yesterday we commemorated National Missing Children’s Day.

Each year it falls on May 25th each, the day that 6-year-old Etan Patz disappeared in 1979 as he was walking to his bus stop.

Children continue to disappear to this day. As a pro-life people we must pay attention to missing children fliers and announcements to help find those children and bring them home.

And we must also remember the millions of children who are missing from our homes, our schools, our workplaces, our world, because they were never given a chance to live.

Since 1980, 1.6 billion children have been aborted worldwide.

That is nearly five times the population of the United States. We have lost more than quadruple our nation’s population to the holocaust of abortion–and who can guess the inventors, the leaders, the creators, the artists, the mothers and fathers who would have grown up to make our world a better place… if only they had been allowed to live.

So let us pray that missing children will be found and restored to their families — and let us also pray for an end to abortion, so that no more children will be missing from our world.
